Midnight and Carmel were our very first cats. They were siblings and we got them both together. My older sister is in the picture holding them. Her cat was Carmel, the orange tabby, and mine was Midnight, the black one. For some reason I cannot recall, we gave Carmel back to the person we got her from and only kept Midnight. He was my very first furry friend.

I used to read to Midnight all the time. One of his habits was sucking on my earlobe. I was pretty small, only four or so, and I don't remember what we used to do beyond that. I'm sure I loved him and pet him softly though.

Midnight dissapeared one day and we believe that someone in the warehouse next door took him home to their family. I was extremely upset to lose him, and the fact that it happened around my birthday didn't help.
